Sculptural Processes was a 3000 level course I taught at the University of Huston designed to introduce students to the basics of metal and wood fabrication, in addition to guiding them through the processes of planning and executing a project. The purpose of the class was to build students' skills and confidence in a variety of material fabrication techniques for the purpose of equipping them to enter the undergraduate sculpture studio program.


A Level Art + Design was a course I taught at YewWah School of Changning in Shanghai. It was designed to help students deepen and refine their communication skills, record from direct observation, and interpret from personal experience.  The course sought to further develop a student’s ability to experiment, innovate, intuit, and imagine.   Students studied, in a self directed manner, a variety of media and approaches to artistic production with a view to developing a portfolio to demonstrate their artistic skill and ability.


IGCSE Art + Design was a course I taught at YewWah School of Changning in Shanghai. It was designed to helps students develop communication skills, record from direct observation, and interpret from personal experience.  The course sought to develop a student’s ability to experiment, innovate, intuit, and imagine.  Students also learned to conduct related research and apply the findings of their research in problem solving.  This course was intended to begin the development of creativity in students, and prepare them for further study in creative disciplines.


Design and Technology was a course I taught at YewWah School of Changning in Shanghai. It was a two year course designed to teach students to look critically at the world around them and develop creative solutions to address the issues they identified.  Students learned to take an idea from concept, through design and planning, to manifest it in the physical world; this was achieved through hands on learning, working with a variety of different tools and techniques.
